The Okanogan Highlands Alliance is dedicated to educationg our members and the public about the threat that chemical -leach mining poses to the quality of our air, soil, and water, human health, wildlife, and natural ecosystems.

We encourage and support public participation to change federal, state and local laws that will increase protection of the environment from chemical-leach mining and related activities. OHA will particiapte in decisions involving the integrity, sustainability and prosperity of our community and the environment and will take decisive legal action when necessary to protect the Okanogan Highlands and other areas against environmental degradation.
