My
very good friend, Cole Malcolm, has recently sold KLCK/KYYT
in The Dalles, Oregon & Goldendale, Washington. The FM is at
102.3 on the dial. The AM at 1400. His coverage area extends
along the Columbia Gorge on Interstate 84 and north & south on US Hwy
97 from Yakima to Madras. You can tune in while visiting The Dalles
at 103.1. This station uses the Optimod 8100 with the XT Chassis
& it sounds very big city! You really do need to hear
"Today's Hot New Country & Your All Time Favorites" on Y-102!
You can send mail to Y-102 here!
KULE-FM located at 92.3. Their current power output is 30kw.
Now You Can Hear Them All Over Central & Most of Eastern Washington.
"Playing The Best Of The New & Gold, It's Your Kind Of Country."
KULE also carries the Jeff Foxworthy Country Countdown Saturday evenings from 7pm - 10pm.
KULE-FM is an affiliate of Westwood One Radio Networks. Their programming originates from Los Angeles. They also carry CNN Radio News at the top of every hour. KULE-FM utilizes the Optimod 8100 (A stereo generator & processor). **For us broadcasters - KULE has the "Optimod" sound. (Now we just need to convince them to upgrade to the Optimod 8200 with version 3 software!)

In the Columbia Basin we can
listen to several different radio signals. My station of choice is
one from Ephrata (20 miles to the north). KULE-FM
plays the Best of the New & Gold, It's Your Kind Of Country.
The local Moses Lake country outlet is KWIQ.
KWIQ-FM
100 specializes in "new country."
KWIQ-AM

from the Tri-Cities. A new major player on the country station scene
is Thunder Country 94.9

Also coming in loud & clear is KORD,
playing continous country favorites.
.
The Eagle, KEGX is another station
originating in the Tri-Cities. They play classic rock!
Our very good friend, Zack,
